Book Review: Mighty Jack and The Goblin King

Another Ben Hatke book that I’ve read, another Ben Hatke book that I love. It’s to the point now where I no longer wonder if I’ll like a new book of his, I know for certain before I’ve even opened the front cover.
As a fan of goblins, I was particularly interested in this one (my favorite of his still being Nobody Likes a Goblin) and it didn’t disappoint. It deftly picked up where the first book left off and jumped straight into another exciting, fast-paced adventure that didn’t let up until the very end. I particularly loved the surprise epilogue, which I won’t spoil here…

Overall, great writing; charming artwork; goblins; strong, likable, relatable characters; and goblins. I’m greatly looking forward to the next book.
